The All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded an overwhelming victory in the Edo Central senatorial bye-election, with Hon. Ojie Eugene Inegbeboh, member representing Igueben Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, delivering both his polling unit and ward for the party’s candidate, Hon. Joseph Ikpea. Inegbeboh’s strong grassroots mobilization and political influence played a decisive role in the outcome, as the APC swept through his constituency, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate by wide margins. Official results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed the APC polling 191 votes against the PDP’s single vote at Unit 1. BREAKING: Benue State House of Assembly suspends ex-speaker Aondona Dajoh for three months for allegedly trying to impeach Governor Alia of Benue State.  Dajoh had on Sunday tendered his resignation as Speaker, after which an emergency sitting was held same Sunday, where Alfred Berger was elected as the new Speaker  The House, under the leadership of the new speaker, also confirmed two commissioner nominees rejected by ex-speaker Dajoh.
