In a thrilling semi-final match at the Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State, the combined departments of Mass Communication (MC) and Library and Information Science (LIS) team emerged victorious, defeating Computer Science, Science Laboratory Technology, and Statistics (CSS) with a convincing 2-0 scoreline. The match, held at the FEPO Game Field on Sunday evening, showcased the MC/LIS team's exceptional skills and teamwork.
The game's pivotal moment came in the 15th minute when Itoje Samuel's impressive free kick found its way into the net, giving MC/LIS an early lead. The team further solidified their advantage with Osiohwo Joshua's second goal, sealing the win and securing their spot in the final against Business Administration and Management (BAM) department Team on Sunday.
This hard-fought victory not only showcases MC/LIS's football prowess but also boosts their confidence ahead of the crucial final match. Meanwhile, CSS will have to regroup and focus on the third-place match against Engineering departments.
