N1B Free Interest Loan'll Boost State Economic Growth ~ Chief Aluede.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria Ambassador, and Chief Ameze of Igueben Kingdom, Mrs Tessy Aluede, has commended Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo for the release of whooping sum of one billion naira for women in Edo state as free interest loan.

Chief Aluede, who through her media adviser and former Chief Press Secretary, Igueben Local Govt Council, Comrade Patrick Enemiye, said the 1billion naira free interest loan is expected to boost economic activities that will eventually cut across the entire state.

Mrs Aluede emphasized that the gesture has marked the commencement of the Governor Okpebholo's led administration plan to speedily improve standard of living of the people and make citizens self reliance.

Expressing delight that the free interest loan has become a reality, she noted that, it will also marked a new dawn in the transformation of the state thereby reducing the unemployment and poverty, while creating self sufficiency and jobs.

While thanking the Gov Okpebholo, for prioritizing women empowerment and human capital projects, Mrs Tessy also implored the beneficiaries to ensure the judicious use of the free interest loan in improving their businesses.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo said he has kick-started the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Edo election : Tenebe alerts security agencies of ‘planned protest by PDP supporters’ in Abuja The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alerted security agencies about a planned protest by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to “influence” proceedings at the Edo governorship election petition tribunal. The demonstration is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday in Abuja. A statement on Monday by Jarrett Tenebe, the APC chairman in Edo state, urged security operatives to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to prevent a potential disruption at the attorney-general’s office by the protesters. Tenebe asked men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Army to be on the watch over the situation. His words, “The disruption allegedly aims to influence the ongoing Edo State Governorship tribunal”, Tenebe said. He added that the ruling party will not tolerate any attempt to compromise the judicial process or disrupt the peace.
