Edo NYCN Chair Lauds Gov Okpebholo Reintroduced Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise.
The Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter, Comrade Moses Agwinede Joseph, has commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the reintroducing the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the state. According to him, it will go a long way to restore the clean and green environment, which the state is known for.
Comrade Moses, called for closer collaboration between sister agencies and public spirited individuals and organisations to join hands with the government in ensuring that the exercise was not only successful, but that solution is found to the challenge of waste evacuation.
The Edo NYCN chairman, in a statement personally signed, described the newly introduce monthly environmental exercise as welcome development, while urging residents to take their personal hygiene seriously and protect the environment.
Comrade Moses Agwinede, opined that, the initiative aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier environment, is expected to receive full support from every citizens and stakeholders, as the sanitation exercise is held across the state on the last Saturday of the month from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
It would be recalled the governor in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr Musa Ikhilor, informed the people of the state of the return of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise with a charge on the people to use the opportunity to clean their environment.
