Epoch-Making As Aluede Celebrates Chieftaincy Title in Igueben.

The APC women mobilization committee coordinator in Igueben LGA, in the 2024 Edo governorship election, Chief (Amb) Tessy Aluede, at the weekend shone like a million stars as she celebrate her chieftaincy title of Ameze by the traditional head of Igueben land, HRH Ehizogie Eluojierior 1 JP.
Speaking at her country home The administrative headquarters of Igueben Local Government Area, Chief Aluede, said she was delighted to be honoured by the foremost monarch in Igueben, adding that it was more than an ordinary chieftaincy title.
Mrs Aluede, who has also been nominated as Matron National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, said she was happy for the honour on her by the Onojie of Igueben and Okaigun of Esan, which also coincided with part of the activities marking the four decades of his ascendancy on the throne.
She said the chieftaincy title bestowed on her was a well-deserved honour, noting that such title “is not the type that money can buy” judging by the integrity of the Igueben monarch who is well known for being “forthright, firm and fearless.”
Mrs Aluede thanked thousands of supporters and well wishers that thronged the venue of the chieftaincy conferment and his country home in solidarity with her
He therefore called for the preservation of the traditional institutions as custodians of the people’s culture and traditions to ensure that they are preserved to play the role they are supposed to play in perpetuating the cultural heritage, adding that any society that loses its heritage is as good as dead.
The ceremony and entertainment of guests was attended by many dignitaries including the Edo State APC woman leader Mrs Betty Okoebor who was accompanied by the LGA woman leader Mrs Igberase, Edo central APC senatorial aspirant, Hon Joseph Ikpea, A chieftain of the APC Mr Pedro Esangbedo, as well as other top politicians business men and women from across the political divide.
