THE stage is gradually set for the  senatorial  district by-election 2025   as  Engr Sir. Osereme Christen Omofoma stage pragmatic stakes for Edo Central Senatorial District.
 The uniqueness of his ideas for equitable representation, his seminal thoughts on prodigious community development, his forthrightness in articulation of our collective aspiration and the tellingly magnificent road map for actualising it is more than enough to endear the humane people of Esanland  to  his vision. 

 Interestingly, history has been magnanimous with the Esan people, having endowed them with the best and brightest as demonstrated by the likes of Chief Anthony Enahoro, Ambrose Alli, Chief Tony Anenih of blessed memory and many more. 

Without a doubt, his  senatorial aspiration has changed the dynamics of the political superstructure of Edo Central Senatorial District where in the recent past, our sons and daughters have been hoisting themselves up for political offices without integrity, required principles and a  solid agenda for viable and enduring community development.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo said he has kick-started the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. The Governor disclosed this when he received another member of the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), who had defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State. The defector and member House Committee on Budget and Appropriation, Hon. Kaycee Osamwonyi represents Uhunmwonde State Constituency. Edo election : Tenebe alerts security agencies of ‘planned protest by PDP supporters’ in Abuja The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alerted security agencies about a planned protest by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to “influence” proceedings at the Edo governorship election petition tribunal. The demonstration is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday in Abuja. A statement on Monday by Jarrett Tenebe, the APC chairman in Edo state, urged security operatives to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to prevent a potential disruption at the attorney-general’s office by the protesters. Tenebe asked men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Army to be on the watch over the situation. His words, “The disruption allegedly aims to influence the ongoing Edo State Governorship tribunal”, Tenebe said. He added that the ruling party will not tolerate any attempt to compromise the judicial process or disrupt the peace.
