Aluede Bags chieftaincy title, “Chief Amenze Of Igueben Kingdom”
The APC women mobilization committee coordinator, in the 2024 Edo governorship election, in Igueben LGA, Mrs Tessy Aluede, was on Saturday, conferred with the chieftaincy title of the Amenze of Igueben Kingdom by the Onojie of Igueben and Okaigun of Esan land  HRH Eluojierior 1, in  recognition of the positive impact and immense contributions she has made in the development of her community and Esan land at large.
Speaking at the well-attended and colourful event, Chief (Mrs) Aluede expressed gratitude to the people of Igueben and the Council of Traditional Ruler of Igueben for the honour and recognition, emphasizing its significance to her, and assured the people of her commitment and support to the community development.
The Onojie of Igueben, HRH Eluojierior, stated that conferring the title on Aluede recognizes her steadfast dedication to the advancement and progress of not only Igueben Kingdom but also Esan land and Edo at large.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo said he has kick-started the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Edo election : Tenebe alerts security agencies of ‘planned protest by PDP supporters’ in Abuja The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alerted security agencies about a planned protest by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to “influence” proceedings at the Edo governorship election petition tribunal. The demonstration is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday in Abuja. A statement on Monday by Jarrett Tenebe, the APC chairman in Edo state, urged security operatives to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to prevent a potential disruption at the attorney-general’s office by the protesters. Tenebe asked men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Army to be on the watch over the situation. His words, “The disruption allegedly aims to influence the ongoing Edo State Governorship tribunal”, Tenebe said. He added that the ruling party will not tolerate any attempt to compromise the judicial process or disrupt the peace.
